Swampy Jack's Karting Rally is a go-karts style attraction. However, our go-karts are much different than their traditional counterparts. For starters, our karts are electric. Not only does this provide a less noisy experience, but this means that they get significantly more torque than other go-karts, so when you press on the accelerator, your vehicle will really take off.
These go-karts are programmable, so they all run almost the exact same speed. Plus, the pit operator can select either the Pro Race speed on the Junior Race speed. This allows younger or less experienced drivers to have their own race at a slower speed, while the more experienced and competitive drivers can have the track to themselves for the faster Pro Race.
Best of all, our go-karts offer an added interactive layer with two different Race options. The TURBO RACE is a traditional go-kart race but with the addition of four user-controlled Turbo Boosters per race. Each Turbo Boost adds 3 mph to the car’s speed for 15 seconds. At the Pro Race speeds, this becomes a technical track, so you must learn the best times to activate the boosts.
The POWER-UP Race adds a new dimension to the racing experience, much like the video game Mario Kart. Embedded all along the race track are special power-up panels. When you drive over these panels, you can receive a power-up that will give your kart added special abilities which you control when to use. Maybe it will give you a turbo boost. Maybe you get Big Zap so you can slow your opponents’ carts temporarily. Or maybe you get a Shield so you can’t be slowed by your opponents. Run across the Charger Spots on the track for an extra 1/2 mph. Sometimes you need to run across the Power Down; sometimes you need to avoid the Power Down. Every race is different and you really have to learn the track, when, where, and how to use your Power-Ups. It’s like driving in a video game!
